Aiming to create a healthy water environment and sustainable communities
Sewerage has played an important role in preventing flooding, improving public health, and preserving water quality. In recent years, in addition to this, it is expected to recover resources collected through sewage pipes and to evolve sewage treatment plants into regional revitalization centers and energy centers. Our laboratory is engaged in research aimed at creating healthy water environments and sustainable communities, with sewage systems at the center of our education and research.
By combining field investigations, experiments, and computer simulations to analyze reaction mechanisms and discuss material balance, we aim to elucidate unknown phenomena and establish water treatment technologies based on their fundamental principles. By seamlessly advancing from basic research to practical application through scale-up, we hope to contribute directly to the realization of a sustainable society in addition to academic development.
